The Baltimore Orioles defeated the New York Yankees in their home opener, 7-6, by scoring twice in the seventh inning to retake the lead and hold on — down to the last pitch.

there were men on first and second. Jose Trevino initially displayed bunt, but on a 2-0 pitch he swung away and hit a hard grounder that Uras fielded for a 5-3 double play.

Austin Hays, an outfielder for the Orioles, said, "That was a huge moment in the game right there." In particular, when he attempted to bunt the first two pitches and

entered the hitter's count, he made a strong swing at the ball. However, Ramon just made a fantastic play.

Baker fanned Isiah Kiner-Falefa with a man on third for the third out.

Despite Aaron Judge's walk, steal of second, and wild pitch putting the tying run at third with two out, Félix Bautista pitched a hitless ninth for his third save. To end it, Anthony Rizzo smacked a routine fly ball to left.

The Orioles' home opener was postponed from Thursday to Friday because of weather concerns.

Baltimore scored two runs in each of the second and third innings, but in the fourth, New York's Franchy Cordero, who was released by the Orioles earlier this month, hit a three-run homer.

Oswaldo Cabrera's two-run double gave the Yankees the lead in the sixth inning, but Adley Rutchman's RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the inning tied the score at 5.
